Time with the kids

I have mentioned before that I love to bake, being in the kitchen is just fun for me. I remember when my kids started asking me if they could bake with Mom. This was unexpected and I wasn't sure if I would like to "share" my kitchen with other people! My precious mother had been cooking with them for some time and she encouraged me to let them help. I decided to try it out and I've loved it ever since!

My 2nd born had an idea for a new twist on pancakes and we made her raspberry chocolate chip pancakes, mmmm, mmm, good! Of course, sampling the chocolate chips was the best part for the kdis!

If you haven't tried cooking with your kids lately, give it a whirl. It's not very often you get contentment like this afterward.

How fun! That must be a great recipe to produce a nap after! We need that one over here! Rasberry, chocolate chip pancakes! Yummy!

Precious! Nothing sweeter than a sleeping "baby".

I love baking as well. Thanks for the comment on my page! She is a really good dog. We actually have 3 really great dogs. All equally available for laying on :). I like your blog. I'll have to check back every once in a while!

My son loves to cook with me. Although I've noticed he loses interest once he is sitting down happily licking the bowl! Cookie batter tastes so much better before it's cooked!

Daughter #2 and I made sweet potato casserole (her favorite) and her sister's big birthday cookie (chocolate chip, of course). Never nap-inducing, always a mess, but she is learning something about how the kitchen works, how to clean up spills and how much fun it is to grab a chocolate chip--I think that must be a universal love among kids!

Keep at it...some kids don't have the benefit of these "seeds."

Those are some sweet pics. You should post the recipe and name it after your child!
